Blue Reef Aquarium
This excellent hands-on visit includes a touchpool demo of handling certain fish, looking at sharks and an insight to marine life. You will see fantastic creatures that live in our seas and oceans. Displays take you on an undersea tour, from the British coastline to faraway tropical reefs and lots more in between.
Beaulieu Motor Museum
There is lots to learn at Beaulieu with awarding winning educational programmes. Visit the Palace House and Gardens, owned by Lord Montagu's since 1538, concentrating on the Victorian period and the running of a Victorian home. Or visit the War Years at Beaulieu, experience life on the Home Front in a role play programme. Learn about the Spies, evacuees, blackout and War time motoring. Finally visit the Abbey where children can learn and experience life in a Medieval Monastery. There is so much to see and do for many subjects that you may be studying at School.

D-Day Museum
Go back in time to June 1944 and discover the faces of history (Churchill, Montgomery and Eisenhower) in the magnificent 272-foot length ‘Overlord Embroidery’. Visit the many images of wartime Britain through our dynamic displays: Life on the ‘Home Front’, the period front room of the ARP Warden, keep vigil with the troops camped in the forest and the airborne glider landings. Finally, board an original Landing Craft (LCDV). With military equipment, authentic models and photographs essential for students studying Britain Since the 1930’s. HMS Alliance
This excellent visit includes good hands on experience for children, giving an immersive insight to life aboard a submarine as pupils are surrounded by all the sounds and personal belongings of the crew. Pupils discover the history of working and travelling under the sea, the impact on families during wartime, investigate the science of submarines and have fun designing, making and testing their own submarine.

HMS Victory
Ordered in 1758, the same year as Lord Nelson’s Birth, HMS Victory took 27 miles of rigging, 4 acres of sails and 6 years to build. The excellent design, her speed and manoeuvrability, meant that she was in constant demand during her period of active service between 1778 and 1812. Guided tours around the ship. Lunch area available.

HMS Warrior
The last survivor of the Black Fleet. It was constructed at a time when war with France seemed imminent and Britain was in the throes of an invasion scare. Has been at Portsmouth since 1987.

Mary Rose Exhibition
This £35million heritage project to build an internationally-renowned museum and complete the conservation will showcase the very best in 21st century architecture and the finest collection of 16th century artefacts in the world.
The artefacts will be displayed in mirror-image context galleries running the length of the ship, so visitors can experience what the decks would have looked like moments before the Mary Rose sank. Six themed galleries will tell the personal stories and working lives of the crew on board.
