A site with spectacular views of cliffs of different coloured sands and geological features, where you can also view the Needles and the Needles lighthouse. Lunch area, open March to October.

Alum Bay Needles Boat Cruise
Throughout the season boats leave Alum Bay on a short 20 minute cruise for close up views of the Needles Lighthouse and Rocks. On leaving the beach the boats pass under the 400 foot cliffs to view the sea-level Victorian Fort. From there & moving onto the seaward end of the bay you cruise past the remains of the ‘original needles rock’ and then onto the towering Needles Lighthouse. The return trip takes you further off shore to enable passengers to appreciate the breathtaking views of the cliffs and coloured sands. With commentary. Subject to weather.

Alum Bay Glass Blowing
Visitors may view the glassmakers in their working areas. They provide a talk whilst showing hand-crafted glass. March to October.

Amazon World Zoo Park
Step in to Amazon World and leave the Isle of Wight behind you, as you walk your students through the various habitats encapsulating many species of animal and many types of plants. With the sounds of the water and the free flying birds, Amazon World tells the ecological story of how the South American rainforest and its inhabitants are being subjected to devastation through logging and plantations, and how if it were to continue, the transition until the forest would be reborn and what we would lose.
Amazon World houses the largest collection of exotic animals on the Isle of Wight, and with its education room it is an all round learning centre with stimulating environments. Lunch Area. Open all year.

A fun packed session of Crazy Golf based on Sandown Seafront. Either a day time activity or evening activity depending on the time of year.

Dinosaur Isle
At the museum there is a large collection with a interactive display of fossils. A Guide will take you around the museum then accompanying you on a field trip to one of the prime fossil locations on the Island, giving much hands-on experience.

Donkey Sanctuary
The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is a great place for a Primary School visit . The sanctuary has over 120 animals of which over 90 are donkeys . The sanctuary is made up of small paddocks which each contains a group of donkeys-those groups might be Old Age Pensioners, Young Donkeys, Adoption Donkeys or Miniature Donkeys . The paddocks are surrounded by walkways so the children can stroke and pet the donkeys all day!

Fort Victoria Woodland & Beach Walks
The Ranger led tour starts with a 30-40 minute classroom session, looking at sealife, geology and plant handeling. This is followed by a 75-90 minute safari where sea creatures and tree specims can be found.
